Joshua has been supporting athletes, coaches, and organizations in their pursuit of excellence since 2012. He is a member of the Canadian Sport Psychology Association and was the 2017 Young Professional of the Year. Some of the organizations he supports are the Alberta Sport Development Centre SW, Hockey Canada, Vauxhall Academy of Baseball, and Saskatoon Blades. He is also an Instructor at Lethbridge College, teaching Sport & Exercise Psychology and Psychology of Sport.
Joshua is keen on working with athletes, coaches, and business professionals in helping them develop perspective, self-awareness, and mental skills that improve performance, enjoyment of sport, and life skills.
He completed an undergrad at the University of Lethbridge was a member of the Emotion and Performance Lab. While completing the undergrad, he examined stress and coping in athletes transitioning into a high school sport academy. Soon after receiving a BA in Psychology, he started a Masters in Counselling Psychology and began working for the Alberta Sport Development Centre SW as the Program Facilitator/Mental Performance Consultant. Working at the Alberta Sport Development Centre SW provides the opportunity to work with the province's emerging elite athletes, coaches, and organizations. In time, he was promoted to the Centre Coordinator role, where he is currently overseeing centre programming and continues to deliver mental performance services.
Joshua is committed to utilizing science, practical applications, and current technology to support the clients he works with as they undertake in their journey of performance excellence.
